Copyright rights

On May 12, 2009 in Business

How far is something copyright protected, if it is publicly displayed on the Internet? How can someone make sure that his work on the internet is not infringed upon and plagiarized, and what to do if it is?Ever since the very publicized Napster case, where sharing of music over the Internet was outlawed and the term copyright infringement became a part of the popular culture, Internet users have trouble discerning what is okay and what not.

The copyright protection for books is much easier to understand and enforce, then the copyright laws regulating music and movies. You either own the book which is the official release, or you have a counterfeit. With music and films, that is not easy.Copyright violation is just another expression for copyright infringement, covered by the copyright laws.
