Finding Cures for Prostate Problems
On July 30, 2009 in Health
Men will experience the enlargement of their prostates when they reach the age of 40, but this is a normal process called benign prostatic hyperplasia. However this enlargement can be one of the biggest health problems in men over 60. The size of the prostate can press on a man’s urethra. Urination is not easy if this happens. A man may experience trouble going to the bathroom or having very little urination, urine leakage or perhaps even blood as enlarged prostate symptoms. Men can get enlarged prostate treatment. Seeing your doctor more regularly if you have few symptoms may be the course of action instead of jumping into medicine. You don’t have to continue to live with serious symptoms and discomfort though as there are medications and surgeries that can be done to alleviate severe conditions.
Everyone can do something to ensure their natural prostate health. When the need to urinate arises, make sure to go right away and until your bladder is empty. It is inevitable that your prostate will grow as it is part of getting older. Don’t drink fluids after 6:00 to avoid feeling the need to urinate in the night. Infections can be thwarted by a lot of water consumption, but if you need to go to the bathroom often, this may not be a good idea. To have fewer urinary tract infections, try adding cranberry juice to your diet. You can still keep a good quality of life with an enlarged prostate.
